Hey everyone. Sorry about the lack of blogs this week, but the waves have been too sweet! Today we had the best waves in the last six months. Those of you who were in the water at Sunset and the PCH know what I am talking about.



My Dad has been touring the West Coast and luckily had a day off in Los Angeles. We got him over to Mark and Travis’ studio to lay down some violin for the SFR track “Same Old Thing”. In addition to playingthe violin, my Dad teaches. One of his prized cello students lives in LA. Her name is Jia and she rocks the Cello.



We recorded multiple violin and cello tracks to create the sound of a full orchestra. Needless to say, the track sounds fucking amazing! It was kinda funny having my Dad and Jia recording string parts in studio A and Travis recording Hip Hop beats in studio B. I wish I could have filmed when my Dad met Travis. It was priceless.
