NYC and working with Hoppus

Today was fucking sweet. I had been in NYC for the past week and was getting kinda antsy about not working on the album. But it did give me time to play some of the tunes for my friends and family. Everyone seemed to dig the tunes. Stuck in Neutral is turning out to be the sleeper hit. New York was super fun. I hung with my 8 nieces and nephews and of course, my Mom, Dad, brothers, and sisters (I have a lot of them).

(Me and my nephew Zack. We call him The Zack Attack. He’s going to be a lady killer!)

I also got to hang with a ton of old friends from high school and college. All I’m going to say is that The Blue Light bar was going off at 3am on Saturday. Rocked it SFR style. Rock, Roll, Party, Rep.

Anyhoo, today we worked with Mark on the songs. It was the first time we had been in the studio with him since before +44 left for their European tour. We worked on four songs. They all sounded amazing by the end of the session. I can’t tell you all how excited I am for this record to be done. Mark is making great comments and really helping us to power through the end of this thing. We have been working on it for so long that it’s hard for us to even know what it sounds like. Josh also killed it on the mixing board. Good werk Josh!

Here is Mark and Josh working on some mix stuff. Click the picture to go to Mark’s blog. He put up some sweet photos from today’s session.
